Westover Arms Hotel

We stayed in this hotel a few weeks ago for a short little getaway from the cold. Overall I would say the place was great and we had no huge issues. It is one block away from the boardwalk and the beach! So easy that we didn’t mind not staying on the beach. The hotel also gives towels and coolers for you to take to the beach. You also get a slip every day to bring to Mama Joy at the beach one block over who will set you up with chairs, umbrella and table for the day. She is awesome and really sweet. We really liked having this as apart of the hotel package. The room itself was an odd compact layout with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, big bathroom and Murphy bed. The full kitchen would be nice if you had an extended time here. The w/d was really nice to have! The bathroom had a big shower and came with amenities. Unfortunately our sink leaked but that didn’t disrupt our trip. The Murphy bed was the worst part. It was so uncomfortable! It bothered us every night. And they don’t have queen sheets so they took king sheets and tired knots in the corners to make it fit. The sheets came off the bed every night which was frustrating. Apparently all of the rooms are Murphy beds. The TV had a good amount of channels available and the AC worked really well. We were in the back of the hotel so the light that came through the windows was ok but it was only in one spot by the kitchen. The elevator worked fine. The staff was pleasant. The hotel is located right next to the main road into mid-beach and it is very busy. There is a CVS right next door and a bunch of restaurants, cafes along the street and the street behind. The bus and trolley travel along the street and there’s a stop one block away. The negative about this area is that it is in direct line of the flights coming into Miami airport. There are airplanes passing over you on the beach all day and night. Helicopters and small planes too. It was a lot to listen to at times. The boardwalk was really great and we loved walking along that each day. Highly recommend walking or biking along. Uber is super easy to use and not too expensive. Would recommend overall.

I been coming to this hotel for 6 summers. Staff always clean room everyday and replace use towels and wash cloths without asking. The only thing you need to make sure you checkout at 11:00 am on the dot or you will be charged 85 dollar fee for late fee. I was greeted by male staff informing me at 11:00am and I explained I needed more time due to me packing for my schedule flight departure. They need to give customer courtesy time calls to inform them at least an hour prior.

Espectacular location one block from the beach. Room has a complete kitchen with washer and dryer included. Beach service includes umbrella and chairs. Free trolly service has stop in front of the hotel and CVS is walking distance.

The location was great right across the street from the beach . They give you a voucher for chairs and towels. Enjoy myself. The staff were great. Can't complain about it. Room stay clean. Every day didn't have a problem. I had a studio apartment .refrigerator, stove, washer machine ,dishwasher had a great time stay on the strip. Where everything was even better party like a rock star.

Large and spacious room with a kitchen complete with full sized appliances (microwave, refrigerator, range). Tiled floors and large walk-in shower. I didn't have any issues with cleanliness and room was well stocked with toilet paper and even paper towels. Windows open if you like fresh air. Room did smell like there was a smoker in it before me, but the smell went away pretty quick after running the AC and cracking a window. Great location, away from the hustle and hustle of South Beach, but still a quick bus ride away.

Great hotel, great location. The full kitchen in the room was great. The fridge even had an ice maker!! Room also had a washer and dryer.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The rooms are very large and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable visit. It's perfectly located near Miami Beach and just steps away from a CVS, which was super convenient. The staff was fantastic, always helpful and friendly. Plus, the prices are excellent for the quality and location. Highly recommend!

We stayed as a couple for a few days while working and the space with the full kitchen a block from the beach was great. That said there are limited grocery options that are walkable and there is no parking. The giant Murphy bed was tolerable and unnecessary since the suite is large. Do not bother to put it up to sit on the very questionable couch underneath from the last century. There are really no services here. The building is fairly clean. Do NOT USE the stackable washer dryer in the units. They are not maintained and ruined our clothes (rips, tears, holes).
